If you've been meaning to level up your AI skills but don't know where to start, this is your sign. Anthropic — the company behind Claude AI — offers free certifications through their online academy, and they're worth adding to your LinkedIn today.
First, a quick heads-up: if you've seen "Claude Certifications" being sold online, skip them. Anthropic does not endorse any paid third-party certificates. The only credentials worth your time are the ones issued directly by Anthropic themselves — and they won't cost you a cent.

Claude 101 — About 1 Hour
This is your foundation. It covers what Claude actually is, how to use Chat, CoWork, and Claude Code, how Projects work, and how to connect tools like Gmail, Drive, and Slack. Thirteen lessons across five modules — a solid starting point even if you've already been using Claude casually.
AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations — About 3 Hours
This is the one to prioritize if time is limited. It's the most transferable of the three and goes beyond Claude specifically. It covers the 4Ds of AI engagement — Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence — along with effective prompting, critical thinking around AI outputs, and ethics. There's also a vocabulary cheat sheet inside worth saving. For XR designers and developers thinking about how AI fits into immersive learning workflows, this course provides the clearest mental framework.
Introduction to Claude Cowork — About 2 Hours
Cowork is Claude's agentic desktop tool for automating file and task management. This course covers Projects, Plugins, Skills, scheduling, research, and how to choose the right model for different tasks — practical knowledge for anyone managing complex design or production workflows.
